These drawings are set in the 19th Century Puebla, Mexico; based on the story "El Panteón de El Carmen y la Noche de los Muertos Vivientes". 
The story is about two men attempting their last grave heist together and ultimately met their doom by the living dead.

I traced my drawings on prepared aquatint (that I made myself) in preparation to acid wash while using varnish (that was also handmade) to create gray tones

Here is the line art I photocopied from my original drawing using handmade tools

I used graphite (4B and 6B) to create a reference for myself to figure the tonal values for the plate.
